Dr. Raj Kathirgamanathan

 Emergency Physician & Co-Director of Emergency Medicine Training – Northern Hospital, Melbourne 


Dr Raj Kathirgamanathan is an Emergency Physician at Northern Hospital, Melbourne, where he serves as Co-Director of Emergency Medicine Training (Co-DEMT). A hands-on clinician and educator, he leads the advancement of ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia within the Emergency Department.  His interests include  regional anaesthesia, emergency ultrasound, critical care procedures, and clinical education. He holds multiple CCPU accreditations through ASUM including CCPU in various Regional anaesthesia modules. He is currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Ultrasound, and is an active member of the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia (ESRA). Raj is the  the Course Director for CRAM 2026 workshop
