Dr Hosim Prasai Thapa is a consultant anaesthetist at Northern Health, Melbourne, and Australia’s representative to the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia (ESRA). Trained in both Nepal and Australia, she completed her anaesthesia training in Melbourne and a fellowship in Regional Anaesthesia (RA) and has completed European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia(EDRA). A passionate educator and researcher, she leads RA projects including hip-fracture analgesia and collaborates with INTERPLAST to expand RA training in developing countries. As an ANZ-RA executive board member, she champions procedural excellence and education. Beyond medicine, Hosim enjoys an active lifestyle and family time, often found practising karate or unwinding on a badminton court.
